Parabolan (Trenbolone Hexa)

A profile on the legendary Trenbolone Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate, the longer-acting and often highly coveted version of Trenbolone.

Parabolan (Trenbolone Hexa)

Parabolan is the brand name for Trenbolone Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate (Tren Hex). It is the only form of Trenbolone that was ever officially manufactured as a human-grade medicine (by Negma Laboratories in France), though it was discontinued in 1997.

Today, Parabolan refers to UGL (Underground Lab) versions of this specific ester. It acts very similarly to Trenbolone Enanthate but is often reported to feel "smoother" with fewer side effects, though this is likely anecdotal or due to dosing differences.

Mechanism of Action

See Trenbolone Acetate. The mechanism is identical: potent androgen receptor binding, zero aromatization, significant IGF-1 increase, and nutrient partitioning.

The difference is purely the release rate governed by the Hexahydrobenzylcarbonate ester.

Pharmacokinetics & Dosing

Half-Life: ~10 Days

It is a long ester, comparable to, but slightly longer/slower than Enanthate.

  • Frequency: Once or Twice Weekly.
  • Concentration: Usually brewed at lower concentrations (76.5mg/1.5ml historically, or 100mg/ml UGL) compared to Tren Enanthate (200mg/ml).
  • Stability: Provides very stable blood levels with infrequent pinning.

Primary Effects

1. The "Parabolan Look"

Bodybuilding lore often attributes a specific hard, dense, grainy look to Parabolan that differs from Acetate. Pharmacologically, this is debatable (Tren is Tren), but the stability of blood levels may play a role in reducing water retention fluctuations.

2. Strength & Recomp

Massive strength gains and the ability to grow muscle in a calorie deficit.

Side Effects & Harm Reduction

The Tren Trait:

Mental Side Effects: Like all Trenbolone, Parabolan can cause anxiety, insomnia, night sweats, and aggression. Because the ester is long, if these side effects become unbearable, it will take 2-3 weeks to clear the system after stopping. Acetate is safer for first-time Tren users.

1. Cardiovascular

Severe strain on lipids and blood pressure. Reduced cardiovascular endurance (cardio becomes difficult).

2. Prolactin

Requires management (Cabergoline/P5P) to prevent lactation or sexual dysfunction.

3. Kidney/Liver Stress

While not 17aa, Trenbolone is biologically heavy on the system. Dark urine is common (often oxidized metabolites, not necessarily blood).

Tracking Parabolan

Using the Anabolic Tracker app:

  1. Inventory: Add Parabolan (Trenbolone Hexa).
  2. Scheduling: Twice Weekly (e.g., Monday/Thursday).
  3. Plotter: Visualize the slow release. Do not "front load" Trenbolone due to the risk of severe mental side effects if levels spike too high too fast.
  4. Bloodwork: Monitor Prolactin, Lipids, and Kidney Function (BUN/Creatinine).
