Sermorelin
A profile on the "beginner-friendly" GHRH, widely used in anti-aging clinics for wellness and sleep.
Sermorelin
Sermorelin (GRF 1-29) is a biological active fragment of Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH). It corresponds to the first 29 amino acids of the 44-amino acid natural GHRH.
It is considered the "gentle" GHRH. It has a very short half-life and is less potent than modified versions like CJC-1295, making it popular in anti-aging clinics where the goal is wellness and sleep rather than massive bodybuilding growth.
Quick Specs
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Active Compound | Sermorelin Acetate |
| Half-Life | ~10-20 Minutes |
| Mechanism | GHRH Agonist |
| Administration | Subcutaneous (SubQ) |
Mechanism of Action
Sermorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to release Growth Hormone. Unlike HGH injections, which shut down your natural production, Sermorelin stimulates your pituitary to do the work. This maintains the negative feedback loop, making it nearly impossible to overdose on GH.
Pharmacokinetics & Dosing
Dosing Protocol
Due to its rapid breakdown in the blood (short half-life), timing is everything.
- Dosage: 200mcg - 500mcg per injection.
- Frequency: Daily (Pre-Bed).
- Stacking: Often stacked with Glycine or GHRP-2 to boost effectiveness.
The "Wellness" Peptide
Sermorelin is often prescribed for:
- Improved sleep quality.
- General energy levels.
- Skin elasticity.
Primary Effects
1. Sleep Architecture
Increases the amount of time spent in deep, restorative Slow Wave Sleep (SWS).
2. Mild Fat Loss
Over time (3-6 months), improved GH levels lead to better body composition.
Side Effects & Harm Reduction
Safety Profile:
Extremely Safe: Sermorelin has one of the best safety profiles of any peptide. Side effects are rare and usually limited to flushing or injection site pain.
1. Efficacy
It is weaker than CJC-1295 (No DAC). Bodybuilders looking for "gains" will likely be disappointed. It is a health/longevity peptide, not a mass builder.
