GHRP-2
A profile on Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2, the balanced middle-ground between the hunger of GHRP-6 and the cleanliness of Ipamorelin.
GHRP-2
GHRP-2 (Pralmorelin) is a synthetic agonist of ghrelin. It is a second-generation GHRP.
It sits comfortably in the middle of the GHRP spectrum:
- Stronger GH release than GHRP-6.
- Less hunger than GHRP-6 (but more than Ipamorelin).
- Some cortisol/prolactin release (more than Ipamorelin, less than Hexarelin).
Quick Specs
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Active Compound | GHRP-2 |
| Half-Life | ~2-3 Hours |
| Mechanism | GH Secretagogue |
| Administration | Subcutaneous (SubQ) |
Mechanism of Action
GHRP-2 stimulates the pituitary to secrete Growth Hormone. It is effective even in older populations where natural GH secretion has slowed down.
It is often chosen by athletes who want a stronger GH pulse than Ipamorelin can provide but can't handle the extreme hunger side effects of GHRP-6.
Pharmacokinetics & Dosing
Dosing Protocol
- Dosage: 100mcg - 200mcg per injection.
- Frequency: 2-3 times daily.
- Morning / Post-Workout / Pre-Bed.
- Stacking: Essential to stack with a GHRH (like CJC-1295 No DAC) for maximum synergy.
Primary Effects
1. Potent GH Release
Produces a sharp, high spike in Growth Hormone, aiding in fat loss and recovery.
2. Appetite (Mild)
It stimulates appetite, but usually in a manageable way ("I could eat") rather than the painful way of GHRP-6 ("I must eat or I will pass out").
3. Healing
Accelerates soft tissue repair.
Side Effects & Harm Reduction
Prolactin Sensitivity:
Gyno Risk: GHRP-2 releases more prolactin than Ipamorelin. If you are prone to prolactin-induced gynecomastia (puffy nipples), keep P5P (Vitamin B6) or Cabergoline on hand, or switch to Ipamorelin.
1. Cortisol Elevation
Slight increase in cortisol levels. Avoid using immediately pre-workout if you are trying to minimize catabolic stress.
Tracking GHRP-2
Using the Anabolic Tracker app:
- Inventory: Add GHRP-2.
- Scheduling: Three Times Daily.
- Metrics: Track Appetite and Recovery.
- Notes: Log any nipple sensitivity.
