GHRP-6

A profile on Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6, famous for its ability to trigger massive appetite stimulation and GH release.

GHRP-6

GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6) is a first-generation GH secretagogue. Like Ipamorelin, it stimulates the pituitary to release growth hormone.

However, GHRP-6 is "messier." It significantly stimulates hunger (via Ghrelin mimicry) and can slightly elevate cortisol and prolactin. It is the go-to peptide for bodybuilders who struggle to eat enough food during a bulk.

Mechanism of Action

GHRP-6 binds to ghrelin receptors.

  1. GH Release: Signals the pituitary to dump GH stores.
  2. Gastric Motility: Increases stomach emptying speed and stimulates extreme hunger.

Pharmacokinetics & Dosing

Dosing Protocol

  • Dosage: 100mcg - 150mcg per injection.
  • Frequency: 2-3 times daily.
  • Timing:
    • Pre-Meal: Take 20 minutes before a meal. Within 15 minutes, you will likely feel ravenous hunger.
  • Saturation: Doses above 200mcg provide diminishing returns on GH release but drastically increase cortisol/prolactin side effects.

Primary Effects

1. Appetite Stimulation

The hunger is intense and painful. It is useful for force-feeding during hard gaining phases.

2. Healing

Like all GH peptides, it accelerates injury repair.

3. Mass Gain

Water retention + increased food intake = rapid weight gain.

Side Effects & Harm Reduction

Cortisol & Prolactin:

The Stress Hormones: Unlike Ipamorelin, GHRP-6 causes a transient spike in Cortisol (stress) and Prolactin. Sensitive users may experience water retention, moodiness, or even gyno flare-ups (if prone to prolactin gyno).

1. Hunger Pain

The hunger can be distracting and uncomfortable if you are trying to diet. Do not use GHRP-6 on a cut.

2. Hypoglycemia

It can lower blood sugar. Feeling shaky or sweaty after injection is common if you don't eat soon after.

Tracking GHRP-6

Using the Anabolic Tracker app:

  1. Inventory: Add GHRP-6.
  2. Scheduling: Three Times Daily.
  3. Metrics: Track Appetite (1-10) and Weight.
  4. Notes: Log any symptoms of high prolactin (nipple sensitivity).
