IGF-1 LR3

A profile on Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1, a potent analog with an extended half-life for systemic muscle growth.

IGF-1 LR3

IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is a synthetic modified version of natural IGF-1.

It differs from natural IGF-1 in two ways:

  1. Arginine Substitution: An arginine replaces glutamic acid at position 3.
  2. Extension: It has an added 13-amino acid extension at the N-terminus.

These changes prevent IGF-1 LR3 from binding to IGF-Binding Proteins (IGFBPs) in the blood. Normally, IGFBPs neutralize IGF-1 rapidly. By avoiding them, LR3 remains active for 20-30 hours (vs 10-20 minutes for regular IGF-1).

Mechanism of Action

IGF-1 LR3 travels systemically (throughout the whole body) to bind to IGF-1 receptors on muscle cells.

  • Hyperplasia: Can induce splitting of muscle cells.
  • Nutrient Shuttling: Acts similarly to insulin, shuttling glucose and amino acids into muscle cells.
  • Glucose Disposal: Prevents insulin from transporting glucose into fat cells, forcing the body to burn fat.

Pharmacokinetics & Dosing

Dosing Protocol

  • Dosage: 20mcg - 50mcg per day.
  • Frequency: Daily (usually Post-Workout).
  • Cycle Length: 4-6 weeks max. Receptors downregulate quickly. A 4-week break is needed between cycles.

Primary Effects

1. Systemic Growth

Because of the long half-life, you do not need to inject it into the specific muscle you trained. It will grow muscle all over the body.

2. Pumps

Insane muscle pumps due to increased glycogen uptake.

3. Leaning Out

Users often report looking fuller and leaner simultaneously.

Side Effects & Harm Reduction

Gut Growth:

Intestinal Growth: IGF-1 receptors are dense in the intestines. There is a theoretical (and anecdotal) risk that systemic abuse of IGF-1 LR3 can contribute to "bubble gut" or intestine growth, though this is usually associated with massive HGH/Insulin abuse.

1. Hypoglycemia

It mimics insulin. It can drop blood sugar. Have carbohydrates available post-injection.

2. Receptor Downregulation

If used for too long (> 6 weeks), it stops working as receptors become desensitized.

Tracking IGF-1 LR3

Using the Anabolic Tracker app:

  1. Inventory: Add IGF-1 LR3.
  2. Scheduling: Daily.
  3. Metrics: Track Blood Glucose (Post-injection) to learn your response.
  4. Duration: Set a strict 4-week cycle limit.
